How to Reset Cookies and Cache in Google Chrome

Quick summary: Many CRM issues are caused by old browser data saved in Chrome. Clearing your cookies and cache can refresh your connection to the CRM and often fixes loading, login, display, and button-click issues.

Why This Helps

Google Chrome saves website data, including cookies and cached files, so pages can load faster and remember your session. Over time, that saved data can become outdated. When that happens, your CRM may show old information, fail to load correctly, or behave differently than expected.

CRM Issues This Can Help Resolve

  • Pages not loading or only partially loading.
  • Buttons, filters, forms, or dropdowns not responding.
  • Old or incorrect information still appearing after updates were made.
  • Login issues, session errors, or being redirected unexpectedly.
  • Opportunities, contacts, policies, or tasks not displaying correctly.
  • Calendar, email, or integration screens not opening correctly.
  • Microphone issues, sounds issues, muffled speaking when talking to clients, etc.

How to Clear Cookies and Cache in Chrome

1

Open Chrome

Open Google Chrome on your computer.

2

Open Delete Browsing Data

In the address bar, type chrome://settings/clearBrowserData and press Enter.

3

Choose What to Clear

Set the time range to All time. Then select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.

Important: Clearing cookies may sign you out of the CRM and other websites. Make sure you know your login information before continuing.

4

Delete the Data

Select Delete data. Once Chrome finishes, close all Chrome windows and reopen Chrome.

5

Log Back Into the CRM

Go back to your CRM login page, sign in again, and try the page or action that was not working.

What Happens Next

After clearing cookies and cache, Chrome loads a fresh version of the CRM. In many cases, this resolves display issues, stuck filters, login loops, missing updates, and pages that were not responding correctly.

If the Issue Still Happens

If the issue continues after resetting cookies and cache, please contact support and include:

  • The page you were trying to use.
  • What you clicked or entered before the issue happened.
  • A screenshot of the error or page behavior.
  • Whether clearing cookies and cache changed anything.

Note: Clearing cookies and cache does not delete CRM records, contacts, opportunities, tasks, policies, or account data. It only clears saved browser data from Chrome.
